Joy Hoffman joined the Maryland Tech Council as the Project Manager for Venture Mentoring Services in April 2021. In this role, she has connected 40+ entrepreneurs with the volunteer mentors of the VMS program, helped train 30+ new mentors in the MIT VMS model, and coordinated 20+ events to connect VMS participants and keep them up-to-date on the Maryland startup ecosystem.

Joy Hoffman joined the Maryland Tech Council (MTC) as the Project Manager for Venture Mentoring Services (VMS) in April 2021. In this role, she has connected 40+ entrepreneurs with the volunteer mentors of the VMS program, helped train 30+ new mentors in the MIT VMS model, and coordinated 20+ events to connect VMS participants and keep them up-to-date on the Maryland startup ecosystem. Joy holds a B.A. in English from McDaniel College, and has been facilitating connections between people in a variety of roles, including Legal Services Plan Administrator for the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association, Program Manager at the DoD’s Biotechnology High-Performance Computing Software Applications Institute, Public Relations Coordinator at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and Switchboard Operator at Berea College.
