Tom Thomson Hall has been an Maryland Tech Council Venture Mentoring Services mentor since 2016, and has been Chair of the Managing Committee since 2022. Tom is the managing partner of a business and communications strategy advisory firm, T. Thomson & Associates, L.L.C. He advises young companies in life sciences and tech with business planning and marketing for commercial initiatives in the US and international marketplace, and provides training and coaching in executive leadership and stakeholder communications to enhance a company’s performance, employee engagement, and revenue generation. He was the founder of a service industry firm and the co-founder of another that served customers in the U.S. and abroad. Tom is a licensed Master Social Worker in the state of Maryland, and currently works part-time as a Therapist at Sheppard Pratt. He holds a B.A. in History and Political Science from Oakland University, an M.S.W. from the University of Michigan, and an M.B.A. from the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School.
